So, your “Classic” Key West Wedding. If what describes Key West is laid-back, fun, adventurous, and tropical, then yes, this is your classic Key West wedding. Our adventure started on a laid-back boat ride over the crystal blue waters of the Keys. The support from family and friends was apparent as there were so many people who wanted to talk and congratulate them, not to mention the kind words shared by Monica’s brother, which were so sweet to capture on camera. Later in the evening, we got a glimpse of what the party life could be like on wedding night, more specifically the predictions of how “groovy” Monica was going to be on the dance floor. There were even some doubts from her brother-in-law, who was comparing his “superior” “Will Smith shuffle” to Monica’s foreseen dance moves. After much fun, laughter, and a family dance party, it was time to “vamanos!”

The wedding day finally arrived, and we were once again brought to the laid-back personalities both Jacob and Monica expressed. Only this time, we were surrounded by tropical palms and an iconic place—the lighthouse! We obviously had to get shots there! Family and friends soon gathered at the iconic Hemingway home, and despite all the amazing events that led up to this point, it still felt like we were just getting started. It was obvious that through all the light-hearted moments, Jacob and Monica felt the deep love they had for each other in that moment, in front of everyone they loved, making a vow of commitment forever.

After our “previously” edit of Jessie doubting Monica’s dance moves, we headed over to get drinks! For us, that was the end of the workday and the cameras were off, but before we packed up, the GDF team had to spend one last night in Key West. After all, Margarita needed to get… well, you know… a margarita. Lo and behold, when we both decided to stop at Irish Kevin’s, Monica and Jacob were there! Mason couldn’t help but notice the amazing moment that was happening and had to pull out his iPhone to video it. We can’t express our gratitude and all-around honor to have been a part of their wedding day. We ourselves made memories we will never forget… After all, it’s all on video!
